Video Streaming

Streaming video is the simultaneous transfer of digital media so that it is received as a continuous real-time stream. Data is received and then displayed through Windows Media Player or QuickTime player. Students can see and hear the clip. Streaming video provides many different benefits to teachers. A few of those benefits are that the videos can be seen anywhere where there is an internet connection, the technology used for these videos requires very little system resources, the video link can be sent in an email or set to a web page, and, finally, the material in the video is always up to date. If students do not understand that lecture that was given that day, they can always go back and look at the video and try to understsand the concept better. I believe that video streaming will be extremely helpful in the classrooms; however, I do believe that there should be a back up plan because sometimes, the internet isn't very trustworthy.
